Coach Sanjay Stanley

Hello, my name is Sanjay Stanley.

I was born in Chennai, India where I first started playing cricket. I played for the state of Tamil Nadu, at the U14 level before moving to North Carolina with my family. My role as a player is a top-order batter and off-spinner.

I represented Triangle Cricket League at many national level tournaments in age group cricket where I have consistently dominated. Moreover, I also represented South Zone at all levels. In 2019, I was selected as vice- captain of the USA U-19 cricket team competing in the ICC Americas World Cup Qualifier.

I have also previously been included in USA camps at the senior level in Colorado, Houston, etc. I have represented the Morrisville Raptors in Minor League Cricket since 2020 and have been active in the leadership groups for this franchise.

I started coaching at age 18 at the Triangle Cricket League and have been fortunate enough to also work alongside some current USA U19 players. I also coached the South Zone U15 team in the nationals and the MLC East U15 team in England where we ended up winning the championship. I hold a Level 1 coaching certification at USA cricket and a Level 2 S & C certification at ISSA. I believe my vast experience from playing as well as working with high-level coaches has given me the knowledge to teach youth cricketers how to excel at this sport. I can not only teach them the physical aspects of the game but also the mental side in terms of strategy and execution. I currently coach at Core Cricket Academy!

"As a cricket coach, I, Sanjay Stanley, focus on developing my players holistically, emphasizing perseverance and hard work. My approach goes beyond cricket; it's about shaping character and instilling life skills. I stress mental toughness, ethical play, and sportsmanship.

Leadership, communication, and personal responsibility are key in my coaching. I incorporate regular performance reviews and mental well-being checks, creating a team culture of inclusivity, respect, and trust.

Celebrating successes and learning from failures are integral. My aim is not just to create great cricket players but great individuals who positively impact society."
